a few websites to consider when preparing your Land Rover for some off road action!
You may be considering building your Land Rover for some off road action but are wondering where to begin. In this post we want to share some websites with you that we have found helpful in our search for the best off road gear for our Rover's! First off Land Rover's are a great off road vehicle and out fitting them for the trails can be expensive and while on a trail you could easily break something, so it is important to have a goal in mind. Do you want your Rover to be the most capable 4 wheel drive machine in town, or are you just looking to have a good time on the trails. No matter what you are building your Land Rover for you will find most of the parts you need to modify your Land Rover at RoverTym(www.RoverTym.com). RoverTym is one of the best names in Land Rover off road gear, probably the best name period. Rancho(www.GoRancho.com) is another great source for shocks that can be ordered to fit your desired specification. Shocks are important because after you lift your Rover you are going to want to add some extended travel shocks.
While you are off roading or while you are building your Rover, you may find some parts that could be replaced, RoversNorth(www.RoversNorth.com) is my personal favorite place to get new parts for Land Rover's. You local parts store will look at you funny when you ask them for any part for a Land Rover, but the staff at RoversNorth will take excellent care of you and send you everything you need in a timely manner.
When selecting tires you need to be careful, some mud tires are terrible on the road and some All Terrain tires are terrible off road. The tire that we have found to be the best is by Interco Tires(www.Intercotires.com)and it is called the SS M-16. The SS M-16 tire has been designed for aggressive off road action and suitable on road performance. These tires look great and out perform any tire we have ever had.
