What does Porsche, Mini-Cooper, and Land Rover all have in common?

What does Porsche, Mini-Cooper and Land Rover all have in common? Enthusiasts! This thought came to me earlier today. I was driving past an early 80's Porsche which had been updated to look a bit newer, and then something began to register in my head. Last night on my way home from the office I noticed a Mini-Cooper Motoring Club out at a restaurant, and then today I found myself communicating with a Range Rover google group called Rangie.com. Then it all registered.

When you think Porsche, naturally you think of an incredible racing machine that has been designed and built to perform like a formula one race car on your daily commute to work or a short trip to your vacation home! When you think of Mini-Cooper, your mind probably takes you off to a fun curvy road out motoring around the country side with a small pet and your most fond lady friend:). Then the King of all is the Land Rover, which naturally your mind begins racing through all the possibilities. In your Land Rover you can go off-roading or pull up to the Queens palace. In fact, when you think of Land Rover, it's probably easier to think of your limitations because the list of limitations is far less than the list of possibilities.

The point is that if you were to think of Ford or Chevy then your mind will probably tell you about practicality. When my mind thinks of these brands I think of garbage, I think of cheap cars that just get the job done, and whose vehicle's are completely void of anything that truly excites people. The common thread that is shared between Porsche, Mini-Cooper and Land Rover is that all the companies have built a fantastic product and tailored to a specific customer so well that they have actually created a following of proud owner's who are known as enthusiasts! I hope you have enjoyed this creative and enjoyable rant about 3 fantastic car companies, now don't forget to visit LROffroad.com!
