Foundation Financial Group customer review, fantastic experience!

About 2 weeks ago I was contacted by Foundation Financial Group because I had been working with Bank of America to work on refinancing my current home. I am a guy with fairly good credit, it's not perfect, but I don't get denied for anything. Anyways Bank of America was telling me that it would take 30 days to close my loan and despite my good credit I was working with them for about 45 days when Foundation Financial Group called me. The guy on the phone told me that he usually see's big banks like Wachovia and Bank of America take much longer than promised to close a loan, and he said that since Foundation Financial Group only does mortgages that they would be able to get my loan closed in 15-21 days........ 15-21 days, that sounded a little too good to be true, but since Bank of America was taking so long on my re-finance I decided to try them out just to see what the rate was. I spoke with a guy at Foundation Financial Group for about 45 minutes then he connected me directly with a Mortgage Banker who called me back in 2 hours with a rate that was better than what Bank of America had locked me in at, and they just closed the loan today! today is the 11th of November and I first spoke with them on October 27th, that is literally only 16 days from the first day that I spoke with them.

I am writing this because people need to know that Foundation Financial Group in Charlotte NC is a fantastic mortgage company to do business with. They return your phone calls, they are friendly, and when you speak with them they genuinely believe that they can help you and on top of that they truly work hard to make you happy. After my first contact with them I read some various reports about them on google which made me concerned, but since I have done business with them now, I am SOOOOOO happy I decided to work with them and I still haven't heard from the bum's at Bank of America who promised to do so much for me, shows how much they care!

Awesome video of the new LRX by Land Rover

If you have been watching your Land Rover Google Alerts you may have noticed some great news about the Land Rover LRX going into production!! While I am not 100% sure when and if we will see them I am dreaming of owning one already! At first I thought it was just an awesome new design. We all know that Land Rover makes the worlds most capable 4 wheel drive and also arguably one of the worlds most luxurious vehicles. I have often wondered what a Land Rover car would look like, and if I could even picture Land Rover making a car. In fact I thought about this a lot about two years ago. My gas bill was about $250 a week(I drive a ton) and I was begining to envy Volkswagon TDI drivers. I decided that Land Rover could never build anything less than a Rolls Royce(which is out of my price Range) and instead of building a car perhaps they should begin producing a fuel efficient SUV that can handel like a car and tear a part the highway. Well, only 2 short years later and we see the LRX!

The design of the Land Rover LRX makes me think of an Aston Martin, in fact Aston Martin has designed an SUV that looks a lot like the new LRX, only the LRX looks better! I have been wondering what the interior would be like in one of these things and tonight I found this video on Hulu which settled my curiousity and made me fall in love with Land Rover’s new LRX!! Check it out! In case the video does not work, just go to LROffroad.com and check it out on my home page!

LROffroad.com is leading the way, for Land Rover Off Road Enthusiasts!

Well, needless to say I have had some sleepless nights because I am so full of vision for LROffroad.com that my mind won’t let me rest! For as long as I can remember I have always had an urge to be different, that is actually one of the reasons why I love Land Rovers. After my old Hot Rod I wanted something that could go anywhere, and since a Jeep is so cliché I began my search for a Land Rover! Now my challenge is to figure out a way to create a fun website for all Land Rover Enthusiasts!

I am determined to never sell anything through LROffroad.com, only accept advertising. I do not want to be the guy who says something is great and then asks you to pay here! I want to be the non biased enthusiast who people can trust and enjoy! With all that said, the Good Lord has bestowed a great amount of vision in me for LROffroad.com and I am excited to see what He has in store for our future. I am determined to not become another Land Rover Forum site, although the integration of an online forum may be a benefit to our users, and you may see one pop up on the site in the next month or so!!

I want you to know that when you see the forum pop up on our web site, that we are not trying to be like everyone else. I am in the process right now of reading and learning all that I can to build what I have in my mind for the future of LROffroad.com, but like every good thing in life, it will be worth the wait:)

I hope you all are as excited as I am to see what we have brewing, be prepared to experience Land Rover in an entirely different way on the internet in just a few short months(possibly weeks)!!! Cheers, your friends at LROffroad.com

Back in Action!

So I took a brief trip up to Connecticut for another wedding and have been away from a computer and forced to indulge myself with great Italian food and beautiful Connecticut shoreline! I must say, there is nothing like good Italian food and being surrounded by Italians! The wedding I went to was a big Italian celebration with Lobster, Steak, Caviar(which is nasty), Open Bar, Shrimp, Salmon, Cake, Canoli, Italian Desert Liquor, Cheese Cake, I mean you name it, and I had it! Needless to say I enjoyed myself a whole bunch!

While I was in Connecticut my Range Rover sat at RoverTym where it got a new skid plate built for the front bumper. Which now means that our 1998 Range Rover is ready for the trails, and possibly this week we will be taking a trip to Uwharrie and shooting an off road video. When we finish the video it will certainly be up on our home page at LROffroad.com, Happy Rovering!

a few websites to consider when preparing your Land Rover for some off road action!

You may be considering building your Land Rover for some off road action but are wondering where to begin. In this post we want to share some websites with you that we have found helpful in our search for the best off road gear for our Rover's! First off Land Rover's are a great off road vehicle and out fitting them for the trails can be expensive and while on a trail you could easily break something, so it is important to have a goal in mind. Do you want your Rover to be the most capable 4 wheel drive machine in town, or are you just looking to have a good time on the trails. No matter what you are building your Land Rover for you will find most of the parts you need to modify your Land Rover at RoverTym(www.RoverTym.com). RoverTym is one of the best names in Land Rover off road gear, probably the best name period. Rancho(www.GoRancho.com) is another great source for shocks that can be ordered to fit your desired specification. Shocks are important because after you lift your Rover you are going to want to add some extended travel shocks.

While you are off roading or while you are building your Rover, you may find some parts that could be replaced, RoversNorth(www.RoversNorth.com) is my personal favorite place to get new parts for Land Rover's. You local parts store will look at you funny when you ask them for any part for a Land Rover, but the staff at RoversNorth will take excellent care of you and send you everything you need in a timely manner.

When selecting tires you need to be careful, some mud tires are terrible on the road and some All Terrain tires are terrible off road. The tire that we have found to be the best is by Interco Tires(www.Intercotires.com)and it is called the SS M-16. The SS M-16 tire has been designed for aggressive off road action and suitable on road performance. These tires look great and out perform any tire we have ever had.

Best Tires for on/off road use for a Land Rover

I think we have found the best tire's for Land Rover's for both on and off road usage! We recently had SS M-16's by Interco put on both of our Land Rover's, one set of tires went on our 2002 Land Rover Discovery, and the other went on our 1998 4.0/4.6 P38a Range Rover! Both vehicle's look awesome with these tires on them, and to make it even better, both vehicle's handle great with them on too!! The biggest fear for anyone considering buying a tire that they intend to use off road is whether or not the tire will be good in the rain. I can personally assure you that the new SS M-16 by Interco tire is incredible both on and off road. My first full day with the new tire's on my Range was spent driving in the rain, and the tire performed perfectly. I then took the car into a parking lot to really push um, and see if I could get them to slide out, and it wasn't until I really punched the gas in a turn that I got the car to slide.

These tires are awesome, and we will be sure to post pics soon!, but until then you should check out our website and watch the video of the week then join to leave comments and connect with other Land Rover Enthusiasts!
